Safety Training

The safety of participants and investigators is of paramount importance to us at the Center for Image Acquisition. The CIA has two levels of safety certification, Level 1 and Level 2.

All investigators wishing to be in the control room for a scan must be certified at least Level 1.
All scans require the presence of at least two certified people, one of whom must have Level 2 certification.

During normal business hours (8am-5pm, USC holidays excluded) the MR Technologist, who is certified Level 2, will be available on site and will count toward the needed personnel.

Anyone wishing to conduct a scan outside of normal business hours must acquire Level 2 certification.
